Transitional Phase

You know what transitions are, and no, I'm not talking about those transitional metals on the periodic table. What I meant was the stage in which I'm transitioning from my Theoretical Part of my course to my Clinical Part, and yeah, I really am looking forward to clinicals.

Why? Cause it ain't like in my earlier years, where I have to study study study to understand and memorize things. Its much more exciting from now onwards that I get to do things hands-on, (not fully though, I ain't a doctor yet) like taking patients history, look at the medical equipments, do physical exams, etc.

Well, I haven't exactly start going to hospitals just yet, as in, not going the the whole day for a week, but yeah, I'm in the transition phase like I mentioned earlier. I do have to go to hospitals, but only for a few hours, and its like we have to meet patients in a large group of, erm, lets see, like 25 person a group. And after about 6 weeks from now, I'll start going to hospitals only. 3 weeks each in 3 different hospitals, should be exciting.

Though the upcoming part is quite exciting as it sounds (from where did I hear about them?), there'll only be a few Malaysians left from March onwards. For the time being, there're about 80 of us Malaysians here in a class of about 250 students, and it then be reduced to about 15 if I'm not mistaken by 5th March 2011. Why? Cause the rest of them will be returning to Malaysia and continue their clinicals in Malaysia.

Anyway, I just hope everything will be just fine after this, or if it won't be fine, I hope it gets better than just fine.

Oh right, before I forget, I had my White Coat Ceremony last Thursday. That's the ceremony that marks our transition from Theoretical to Clinical, plus, we get a free white coat, yay.

Toodles~
