Why do I want to be a doctor?

Well, to all you people who are currently studying medicine, or would be doing so in the future, or will go for med school interviews, this might be one question you hate most (Cause I do).

It seems that almost all med school interviews have this question ready to be asked to the applicants. Even counselors of the preparatory institutions (er, the one you attend before going to med school la), would remind you of this question, which damns almost all med school interview applicants (sorry I might have exaggerated this sentence).

But seriously, I did received this question, not once, not twice, but erm, can't remember how many times, maybe 4 times, I think, in all 4 interviews I had to go to before being able to attend UCD. And how the hell did I answer this question?

Again I tell you, I really never liked this question, and of course, the lamest answer would be, "I like to help people" or "I want to be useful to the society". Tell me, would such answers dazzle the interviewers? Hell no, they want a better answer, an answer that could assure them they're selecting the right applicant, an answer that would show them that you really have the 'material' to be a doctor, an answer that.........

Aaaah, who cares?! I'm already in med school, and enjoying my life as one, haha. But how did I answer anyway? Spontaneously, without rehearsing. And I couldn't even remember what my answer was (exaggeration again).
